HOW- MANY-MOTHER TONGUES-LOST THEIR IDENTITY TO FORM A LANGUAGE-HINDI-IN 1991 Census OF INDIA?

So many people have lost their MOTHER TONGUE in use in their day to day working life---Because all those mother tongues have been grouped together to form Only One language --HINDI in 1991 census.
These mother tonguns no longer remain -- WORKING LANGUAGE.
These would be used in home i.e. in INFORMAL way.

ANY INFORMAL - USE NEVER PRODUCES FORMAL WORK ON Sc. , PHILOSOPHY, Social Forces,Literature,Technology etc.
I fear whether the fate of these mother tongues would be like the fate of PARSI -WHICH WAS THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS LANGUAGE , MOST USEFUL LANGUAGE OF INDIA A few houndres of years ago.

I FEAR THE WAY THE GOVT. OF INDIA IS IMPOSSING HINDI ON NON-HINDI STATES BY MAKING SO MANY PRESIDENCIAL ORDERS ,OFFICIAL LANGUAGE ACTS& RULES FROM ALL POSSIBLE WAYS -----THE NAME OF OUR COUNTRY MIGHT BE CHANGED FROM "INDIA " to "HINDIA".

Well to make hindi a national language and of majority more than 200 dialects were crushed to nul n if somenoe feel this is infication ,its pretty similar to killing all the heirs so that only one inherits an acestrial property but we are used to it . when a decision on national language was to be taken at the time of independence telugu was equally speaken by people as that of hindi but regional politics voted hindi and for hindi crush the identity of many more indepedent languages and consolidate to one a Great HINDI

The last feast to mention is the Diwali. This is the time when there are a lot of firecrackers in the city. Mumbai has always been synonymous with gambling. During this feast, there are big losers and there are also big winners. This was the time when they would experience how blessed they are by the Goddess Lakshmi.
